The Step it Up Challenge provides many opportunities to keep you moving and log some more steps on your pedometer! All participants are invited to join the activities below, participation is FREE.

Week 1 - Walk WorkshopThursday 6 May 12-1pm Do you think that walking is just putting one foot in front of the other? Do you wonder how you can get (more) results for fitness or weight loss with walking? Attend the Walk Workshop, taken by Stephanie McLennan from Sport Waikato. Different tips and techniques will help you get some results and add a little fun and variety to your walking regime. | |
Week 2 - Step Lunch BreakWednesday 12 May 12-12.30-pm Collect as many steps as you can in 15 minutes. Walk or run around the fields, use the stairs or take off to the buildings. As we know from last year not all tactics work as well to get the numbers up... View 2009 pictures here. How many steps can you do in 15 minutes? Come off your chair for some lunch step fun. Week 3 - Weird Walk on CampusMonday 17 May - Friday 21 May See places on campus you haven't seen before; enter buildings on one side, leave them on the other... surprise yourself. A map will be available soon. You can do this walk anytime you like at a time that suits you within this week. | |
Week 4 - Step into the Rec CentreMonday 24 May - Friday 28 May For this last week of the Step it Up Challenge the Rec Centre opens her doors for all Step it Up participants. You can participate in one of the following activities for FREE, as often as you like. Lunch time REV Classes
